Bremer Lloyd has been awarded with the transport of seven cable drums with a unit weight of up to 120 m/tons from Switzerland to the destination in Hong Kong. Bremer Lloyd arranged for the direct loading of the heavy units from the truck to the dedicated barge the transport to the seaport. There the cable drums have been loaded onto the mother vessel by means of a floating crane and the sea transport to Hong Kong, ensuring a timely arrival for this time sensitive cargo.

Bremer Lloyd has been awarded with the tower and blade transport of 70 offshore windmill turbines for the “Wikinger 2” project until 2017. Within the scope of this project, Bremer Lloyd transports over several voyages 210 windmill blades with 66 metres length from Stade to Sassnitz. The evaluation, choice of the most suitable vessel, accompanied by developing and performing constructional modifications of the vessel by Bremer Lloyd ensuring, that both towers and blades can be loaded, was essential to receive this award.

Bremer Lloyd awarded the nearest and most suitable seaport to handle the turbines and chartered a sea vessel to transport them to Australia. The loading of the sea vessel and discharging at Australia has been coordinated at both ends by the Bremer Lloyd project manager.

Bremer Lloyd has been engaged with the transportation of six used E66 windmill turbines from Schleswig-Holstein and Ostfriesland. The pre-carriage has been arranged to the ports of Brunsbüttel and Emden, where the turbines have been loaded under the supervision of our supercargo and under usage of our special lifting equipment and have been discharged smoothly in Crotone.

Bremer Lloyd has been assigned a transport of three 50 meters long rotor blades of LM Wind Power from the Chinese province Jiangsu. Although the contract had a small volume, Bremer Lloyd managed to ensure an efficient and economical transport solution to the client.  It was booked a suitable deck space on a vessel going from China to Europe and the transshipment on a European coaster cargo liner, transporting the blades to Sweden, was organized.

In June 2016 Bremer Lloyd realized a further project in the industrial goods sector.

Charged with the transport of two steam accumulators (each 1480 x 422 x 465 cm / 47.000 kg ) from Gunzenhausen (Germany) to Hvidovre (Denmark), oversized cargo dimensions made this just-in-time delivery a challenging task – particularly the height of 4,65m. The main part of the distance was overcome by water via barge as well as ocean vessel and just the last mile to the plant site was carried out by low bed trailers.

Freight: 6 LM 49.1 rotor blades

Bremer Lloyd Marine Logistics has been awarded with the transportation of a small lot of 6x LM 49.1 blades ex LM Wind Power factory in Jiangyin to Sweden. Due to this small quantity, Bremer Lloyd concentrated on investigating the workability of ports, where the most suitable vessel is loading its base cargo, enabling to offer clients a competitive freight. The final choice was Changshu port, being experienced in handling windmill equipment. In order to ensure a safe loading, the Bremer Lloyd Project Manager and local representatives were present during the complete operations. Being destined for Sweden, the blades have been transhipped to the port of Antwerpen on a coaster cargo liner. Being need prior Christmas, Bremer Lloyd arranged to settle the customs and fiscal clearance within 1 day and loaded the coaster only 2 days after arriving with the vessel from China, again under the supervision of the Bremer Lloyd Project Manager. The coaster sailed directly to the discharging port and Bremer Lloyd ensured a timely discharging and delivery to a satisfied client.

Destination: Brake (Germany)

Bremer Lloyd Marine Logistics proved again, being able to arrange the transportation of windmill blades during holidays seasons in China. Once the delivering factory opened its doors after the Chinese New Year, Bremer Lloyd loaded 12x LM 49.1 windmill blades on trucks being on standby the next day. Bremer Lloyd arranged an immediate docking of the chartered vessel the following day, enabling a loading and sailing only two days after end of the Chinese New Year. After a direct sailing to the discharging port in Germany, the blades have been discharged two weeks ahead of the required date by our client.
