Chittagong was regarded as the base port in which all goods were delivered by container or break bulk. This was the enddestination for the executed transports.
Approx. 6.200 freight tons are from Europe. These were transported in 142 containers and 1 break bulk shipment.
The goods came from Hamburg, Venice, Genoa and Bilbao.
Further 13.800 freight tons are from China. This corresponds to 272 containers and 5 break bulk shipments.
The cargo were loaded in Shanghai, Qingdao, Tianjin/Xingang and Dalian.

The EAF steel mill (Electric Arc Furnace) in Bangladesh is located outside from Chittagong and comprises the production of 840,000 mt of liquid steel per year of which 640,000 mt in solid steel are to be used for sections and reinforcing steel.
The transport from Italy included 2 transformers, 3 steel beams and 11 wooden boxes.
The transport from China included 1 machine and various steel constructions.
414 in total of different types were used for the EAF steel mill project in Bangladesh. Most of the cargo were shipped in open top, high cube and flatracks in 38 lots.
142 containers were loaded in Europe from the ports of Hamburg, Genoa, Venice and Bilbao. Some goods also came from Kolkata, Nhava Sehva, Istanbul and Mexico. Further 272 containers were shipped ex Shanghai, Qingdao, Tianjin/Xingang and Dalian to Chittagong.
The maximum cargo height on flatracks was fully utilised. Bremer Lloyd transports several steel structures with an overheight of up to 4 metres and an overwidth of up to 4.20 metres on container ships to Chittagong.
