discharging in discharging port, on-carriage to final destination.

Turning and mounting rotor blades into transport frames
Usually the wind turbines do not posses any transport frames after being dismantled, which makes the transports challenging. Bremer Lloyd arranged for the rental of the required transport frames and the transport to place of receipt, ensuring that same can be mounted during the dismantling or re-loading to truck. The rotor blades needed to be transported horizontally to the loading port and from discharging port to the place of delivery, as the characteristics of the transport frames did not allow a transport on the road in Germany and Italy, being too high. The transport frames were mounted/dismounted in the ports.
All components were consolidated in the loading port. Stackable frames have been rented, saving on one hand required space on the sea vessel and on the other hand costs for the client. Additionally, lashing plates have been produced and tarpaulins applied, saving the tower sections for water ingress. The upfront issued stowage plan and elaborated cargo securing procedure was applied. Due to the fact that in discharging port there was no suitable lifting tool available for the heavy nacelle, Bremer Lloyd developed an alternative lifting arrangement.
